D*C Thursday meetup?

If we did the Vortex a couple miles away, who will have rides? Mike and I will be able to fit one extra in our car and maybe on skinny person who wants to squeeze in between Moo and said extra person.

I can fit 3, possibly 4 people into my car.

Thought we were doing a pre-con pool party at the Marriot. If I have to decide on food: Vortex at the original location. Like I said, I can fit 4 people in my car if anyone else is willing to drive.

Mary and I aren't fans of the Vortex (They've been dickish to us every year), so we'll be at the Marriott restaurant, and then at the pool.
A nice mellow night of relaxing is a good thing before things go all wahooney shaped for the weekend, yes?

The key to ease at the vortex is being in one group, at the same time. I messed up last year and got off on the wrong station, PLUS I sent some of our folk to the OTHER Vortex. My bad, (and it's why I am taking a break from running things!)

Between the distance and the poor service (Seriously, Mary and I have been treated like crap there. Ignored by staff, shoved into a corner, had our group reservations "lost"....we gave up on em) we're going to stick close to the hotel
