i was always upset i never got to be a flower girl growing up... but now i'm sooo glad i'm not even a bridesmaid. it is an honor and all but... no one ever picks a dress thats pretty on every maid. theres usually only one that looks good in it, and they cost too damned much.

That's why you pick a color, or a few colors, and find dresses that look good together and look good on their respective wearers, without matching.

I would pick a color and then let the bridesmaids pick the design.... within moderation of course.

I was a flower girl once, its not all its cracked up to be, every one calls you "cute" and such, but basically I felt very patronized.... and like a doll because we spent a full day getting made all pretty starting at a scary early hour.

All the Groomsmen were dressed as Ninjas, and all the Bridesmaids were dressed as Pirates.

All the guests were requsted to come in costume. Those who didn't come in costume WERE PROVIDED WITH ONE!!!!
